Naghmeh began her professional journey in computer engineering, but a deep and enduring passion for understanding the human inner world—and for exploring life’s meaning—led her to psychology. This calling inspired her to shift her career path and devote herself fully to counselling and psychotherapy.
At the same time, she has never left her engineering background behind. She continues to draw on her technical expertise to design and develop computer games for children and adolescents, integrating psychological principles into engaging and exciting gameplay. In today’s world, where young people spend an increasing amount of time on games, she sees a unique opportunity to transform this space into a tool for growth—helping them build life skills, self-awareness, and psychological insight in a fun and inspiring way.
Over the years, each therapy session has been more than an opportunity for her to support clients in finding clarity, meaning, and peace; it has also been a profound source of learning and growth for her. She sees the therapeutic relationship as a two-way path of discovery and healing, where every person brings a unique story, and she is honoured to walk alongside them on their journey.
Her approach is both analytic and emotion-focused. She believes emotions are like a compass in the vast ocean of life—an inner guide that, when deeply listened to, can lead toward self-awareness, authentic connections, and emotional well-being.
Her areas of focus include:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
• Trauma
• Relationship challenges
She also has extensive experience supporting:
• Couples
• Adolescents
• Individuals navigating the emotional and relational complexities of immigration, helping them adapt to new cultures and family dynamics with resilience and clarity
Naghmeh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, a Master’s degree in Psychology, and a PhD in Psychology, and she is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia.
