Child & Youth Counsellor (Play/Art/CBT)

Description:

We’re looking for a playful and creative therapist who loves working with children and teens. Background in play therapy, expressive arts, or CBT for youth is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Part Time, Full Time

  • Provide individual counselling for children and/or youth, using a warm, trauma-informed, and developmentally attuned approach.

  • Maintain active registration with a recognized body (RCC, CCC, or Child & Youth Counselling certification).

  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers, offering support and guidance as part of the therapeutic journey.

  • Engage with local community supports, including schools and youth organizations, when appropriate and consented to.

  • Maintain timely and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical standards.

  • Work as part of a collaborative, caring team, contributing to a supportive practice culture.

  • Uphold a strong ethical foundation, with sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds and needs of young clients and their families.

Qualifications and Skills

Split model (60/40–70/30)

  • RCC, CCC, or Child & Youth Counselling certification
  • Min 1 year experience with young clients
  • Warm, trauma-informed presence

Schedule (West Vancouver)

Part Time, Full Time

3 PM–9 PM weekdays or weekends
